Me
( Written by Illene M. Espinosa )

Going with the flow

Clearing my mind

Freeing my soul

For my future is not told

Letting the past stay there

Being aware of the moment

Enjoying it

Living my life in harmony

Using my creativity to live my life happily

Thinking positively

Believing in karma and inner beauty

Seeking no acceptance from others to be free

Doing good and good will be

Giving away all of my love

I only have more to give

This is how I choose to live

This is me

The Power Tools of MakeUp

MakeupBrushCollage2MakeupBrush

I believe that beauty shines from within and that taking the extra time for yourself to look good on the outside helps with overall self confidence. There are many different makeup techniques and styles from subtle to dramatic. In order to achieve the best results you need the proper power tools. These power tools I speak of are makeup brushes and the right power tool will make all of the difference.

Not everyone can afford a Makeup Artist but you can achieve the airbrush look with the right makeup brush and technique. When airbrushing a client I use circular motions when applying foundation this helps to get the smoothest possible coverage. Apply foundation to your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin then use a foundation brush in circular motions to blend. You will have a smoother airbrush appearance and get the most out of your foundation.

There are many makeup tips and tricks and taking the time to learn them using good quality makeup brushes will be well worth it. To keep your power tools working at their best please remember to clean them by using makeup brush cleaner after each use.

Beauty is being the best possible version of yourself on the inside and out.”

It’s that time of year where the Blah feeling may be kicking in and you just want to bundle up and hibernate until Spring. More than likely this is not possible with your busy life style. It is easy to neglect your skin during the Winter months and you may notice more dryness and dehydration than usual due to this neglect which could also lead to tightness, flakiness, and even wrinkles.

Because water aids in digestion, circulation, absorption and excretion and because it reaches all of your other organs before it reaches the skin it is important to drink plenty of it. The ideal amount of water is half of your body weight in ounces (Example: I weigh 115lbs; 115 divided by 2 = 57.50) so I should be drinking 57.50 oz. of water per day. Once you start doing this simple daily routine your skin will be much more clearer and hydrated and you will see a noticeable difference and feel much healthier. Plus water is free!

Moisturizing is another simple step that you can take to prevent your skin from damage. There are many good moisturizers on the market. During the day it is best to moisturize after you cleanse and tone. Also using a moisturizing foundation will help keep your skin moisturized throughout the day. Researchers are learning that skin works harder to rejuvenate itself at night hence the term “beauty sleep” you can use the same moisturizer that you use during the day or a heavier one for night time use.
